Professional ADHD coaching tailored to you
Hyperactivity, impulsivity and distractibility are the classic traits of ADHD – but it’s unlikely they’re the symptoms that inspired your search for an ADHD coach
An inability to get projects out of the gates, an even greater struggle to follow tasks through to completion, and a life spent winging the admin side of things. These are some of the real-world expressions of adult ADHD.
And that’s before we even begin to unpack those darker comorbidities that often come along for the ride, such as crippling anxiety; imposter syndrome; and a sensitivity to criticism that’s become automatic over time.
Our 1:1 adult ADHD coaching in the UK is shaped by your unique day-to-day experience and follows a bespoke but structured path towards building the habits that will genuinely work for you
An adult ADHD coach who understands YOU
ADHD shows up differently for everyone. And so the kind of ADHD coach who brings presumptions and one-size-fits-all ‘solutions’ to a coaching relationship won’t help anyone get to a better place.
As a reputable provider of professional online ADHD coaching in the UK, we treat every client as a unique individual; never as part of a neurodivergent herd.
Through this bespoke approach, we don’t just help people adopt new behaviours for living better with ADHD; we co-create the habits that are a perfect fit for the person as well.

ADHD coaching vs ADHD therapy
It’s common for people who are looking to work on their ADHD to find themselves weighing up the benefits of ADHD coaching with those of psychotherapy for ADHD. The two disciplines bring their own value – and it can be helpful to understand a little about the approaches and methodologies of each.
Conventional ADHD therapy includes…
Exploration of the emotional aspects of living with ADHD
The opportunity to work through current emotional responses
Understanding of inner conflicts through improved self-awareness
The resolution and healing of past emotional trauma
Management of anxiety and depression stemming from ADHD
Frameworks for improving emotional resilience in situations
Professional ADHD coaching includes…
Bespoke action-oriented strategies for increased productivity
Emotional regulation techniques to help navigate situations
Goal-setting and intentionality for moving forward with purpose
Practical strategies to combat overwhelm and procrastination
More conscious self-care for managing health, mood and focus
Structure and routine for a positive sense of achievement
Some people find there’s a lot of value in receiving both kinds of support in parallel, and this can work well, so long as all parties are open and aware of the broader picture. Sometimes, a ‘collaborative agreement’ can be put in place, allowing both coach and therapist to work transparently and in unison – to the combined good of the client.
With the right adult ADHD coach, you’ll come to better understand your unique brain and begin to make adjustments for a life and career that feels a lot more… you

Your questions answered
-
This is a common question – and one to which there’s no universal answer. Some people find they’re in a better place after half a dozen coaching sessions; others keep the support of an ADHD coach in their lives for many months – or even years – longer. We operate on a month-by-month basis, taking away the worry of signing up for lots of sessions (and expense) up front. With Unherded ADHD, you can simply book your first month of coaching and see how you go.
-
Weekly or fortnightly is the recommended frequency. Any longer than two weeks between sessions and there tends to be drop away in terms of the progress that gets made. That said, it’s important for there to be enough time to put strategies and hacks to the test, which is why we suggest at least a week in between.
-
The short answer is £100 plus VAT per session (with a discounted rate available for people in less fortunate situations). Each session lasts for one hour – and there are always key actions and strategies to take away and put to the test as we build the right combination of better habits for you.

In case you’ve not heard of it, Access to Work is a UK government grant aimed at helping people with a disability get the support they need in order to find – and remain in – employment. ADHD coaching is absolutely included in this kind of support. However, coaches stating that they ‘accept Access to Work payments’ isn’t really in alignment with how it all works. Grants are awarded to individuals (not to support workers), and are reclaimed by the individual from the Department of Work & Pensions after coaching sessions have happened (and upon validation of the claim by the coach).

You bet. Otherwise this would simply be two people turning up each week or fortnight for an aimless chat. What’s important to understand, though, is that ADHD never shows up the same for any two people. So a ‘cookie cutter’ approach to coaching that assumes the same set of ‘solutions’ will work for every ADHDer is naive (to put it politely). To create meaningful change that lasts, Unherded's ADHD coaching considers the pathway to a life of better habits at the outset of the coach/client relationship. The route that pathway takes is unique from one client to the next.

Anywhere you like – so long as you can find a strong, reliable internet connection. Our ADHD coaching sessions take place on Microsoft Teams or Zoom calls (and occasionally in-person – geography permitting). We just ask you to ensure that you’re in a private space where the call can’t be overheard, and where background noise is at a minimum.

Your next move is to have a call with Kev. For coaching to be truly successful, the chemistry between client and coach needs to be right. We offer free ‘discovery calls’ – which is just an industry term for an initial conversation. These confidential, thirty-minute calls take place on Microsoft Teams or Zoom (or the phone), as you prefer, and are a great chance to ask any questions that haven’t been answered here.
